Event 2: Inauguration of Students Association 
The Department of Computer Applications inaugurated Students Association on 29.08.19. Dr. K. Arulanandam, Head, Department of Computer Application, Govt.Thirumagal Mills College, Gudiyattam. Prof. P.Anjugam Head, Department of Computer Applications inaugurated the Students Association by lighting the Kuthuvilakku and elected the following office bearers :

VICE PRESIDENT: Ms. P.Sharmila, III BCA ‘B’
SECRETARY: Mr. S. Naveen, III BCA ‘B’

STAFF ADVISOR: Prof. N.Venugopal, Assistant Professor,
Department of Computer Applications.
         

Event 3 : Intra – Departmental Activities
The department of Computer Applications conducted various Intra-Departmental competitions on 29.08.19. The students participated in the following events and won prizes.

5. Web Designing
6. Poster Presentation

         

Event 3 : Inter-Collegiate IT Meet
The PG & Research Department of Computer Science and Department of Computer Applications organized an Inter – Collegiate IT Meet / Seminar titled iBlaze’19 on 5th October 2019. Dr.D.Gajapathy, Director and Dr. M. Valarmathi, Principal inaugurated and presided over the function. Prof. P.Daniel Sundarraj, Head, Department of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Prof.P.Anjugam, Head, Department of Computer Applications introduced the Chief Guest. Dr.N.Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications School of Information Technology and Engineering, VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, was the resource person and delivered a lecture on “BIG DATA ANALYTICS AND ITS POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS”. Around 150 students from various colleges participated in this mega event. The following events were conducted.

At the end of the program, the Director and the Principal distributed prizes to the winners of various events. Mr. S. Kovendhan, III BCA ‘A’ proposed the vote of thanks.
